Shadowclaw padded into the nursery with a fat fish between his jaws. His fur shone from the wash he had just given it. His eyes sparkled at the thought of soon being a father. He padded over to Spottedtail and sat down.

[~ Jetter ~]

Spottedtail was in a nice sleep, dreaming about mice in a field (PAW). Then someone sat next to her, she opend her eyes to a small slit, it was Shadodwclaw. After a few minutes of just laying there, his body keeping hers warm she got up slowly. He big belly making it hard to do everything. "Thank-you, I am starving" she mutterd threw gulps of a tasty fish. It was nice to be in a safe and warm den is weather, she shiverd just by looking outside the nursery.

[Cheesles]

Shadowclaw licked his long fur. It had grown over the past few days with Leaf bare fast approaching.

As Spottedtail finished up her delicous mouse sharp pain hit her stomach, were the kits coming or was it just a kic--- Another set of sharp pain hit her body, no the kit were coming! "Uhh Shadowclaw..." she meowed through intense pain.

[Cheesles]

Shadowclaw began to panic. This was a bit early.
"Um.... Tigerkit, go get Echodrop! Quickly!" Shadowclaw mewed.

"Um ok." Tigerkit said glancing at Spottedtail as she galloped out of the nursery.

Shadowclaw licked Spottedtail,
"Just breath and keep calm."

(Should she die because of blood lose or just she was young and the pain was too much?)

[Riber~]

Echodrop rushed into the nursery, soothing herbs in her tiny jaws. The she-cat mewed, trying to keep calm. "Shadowclaw. Out. Everyone. Out." She paused, taking a deep breath.

"Now Spottedtail, breathe in very slowly and keep calm. When I say push push."

[~ Jetter ~]

Spottedtail took a deep breath, finally Echodrop came in. She nodded and murmed a few curses from the pain. Wow... Every she-cat WANTS to go through this pain!?

[Cheesles]

"No I am staying with my mate, I refuse!" Shadowclaw replied.
"I am not leaving. Every father wants to see his kits forst breath."

[Cheesles]

(SOrry for double posting but you do not post!)

Shadowclaw sat behind Spottedtail. He could see all of her that way. He lay down and licked her fur with long calming strokes.
"Don't worry you can do it." He coaxed quietly. He keep liking trying to help her sty calm.
"Just breath." He whispered.

(River there are tow female kits. One like me one like her. But Spottedtail dies. Nothing you can do to stop it.)

Echodrop placed a tabby paw on Spottedtail, whipping her head around to glare at Shadowclaw; frankly, the she-cat had a feeling this would be a tough birth. "Don't think I didn't warn you." Ignorant toms ... She sighed, waiting for the correct moment. That moment came, mere minutes later.

"NOW SPOTTEDTAIL! PUSH!"

Echodrop felt the pretty cat give all her might, but unfortunately, it was barely enough. She was so young ... not yet ready for the pain. A vibration was felt under her fur; a contraction. Echodrop saw Spottedtail's eyes glaze over, felt her pain as her own. She bent over, leaning towards her broad ears, and murmured, nearly a whisper.

"You can do this ... breathe."

Suddenly, miraculously, a small bundle appeared, a tiny kit bursting out. Uh-oh. Bad sign. The tiny kit was nearly dead, a pale litle face with no life-like features. Echodrop started to panick, but did her best to regulate her breath, and passed the kit to Shadowclaw. At least he was good for something. "Lick. Backwards." A she-cat. Looking just like her mother.

[Cheesles]

"Yes! I knew I should've stayed." He whispered the last bit.
He bent over and licked briskly. The little kit barely moved. It looked like her mother. The little kit squirmed and let out a little wail.
"A good sign!" Shadowclaw said hppily as he looked at Echodrop and gave the kit another brisk lick.

(When pottedtail dies say or I mite say, "At the silver kits first breath, Spottedtail gave her last." Somthin like that/)

OOC: I dun mind, you got the whole death part over with XD

IC: Spottedtail looked into her mates eyes, love was all you could see, and them gazing over. She was heading for StarryClan for sure. With her one last breath she meowed:

"I love you Shadowclaw, as much as I will love these kits from StarClan, good bye my love." she meowed instantly going limp after the second kit was born.

[Cheesles]

As the second kit gave its first breath, Spottedtail gave her last.
Shadowclaw looked at his mate with utter disbelief.
"Spottedtail?" He asked. He looked at his kits and back at Spottedtail.
"No." He whispered.
"No!" He yowled.
"Why?" He asked looking at Echodrop. He looked at the first kit. A silver tabby like him.
"Swiftkit" and then he looked at the the first one.
"Willowkit. After your beutiful mother.

[Riber~]

The tiny kit was literally taking it's first breath as Spottedtail was taking her last. Echodrop shook the queen, although knowing it was of no use. Her eyes fluttered over the second kit and she glanced up at Shadowclaw. They looked nearly exactly the same. Both looked like their parents. She took a deep breath, and began licking the small kit, hoping to save it's puny life.

"The child takes it's first breath in a new world, while the mother takes her last in a world she's always known ..."

Her voice was merely a whisper ...

[Cheesles]

"Iknow this wasn't your fault Echodrop. The pain you must feel is probally more then I feel." Shadowclaw said.

[Riber~]

The she-cat was slightly taken aback by the fact that Shadowclaw was not more devastated; his first mate and he was acting as if it wasn't that big of a deal? Echodrop took a deep breath, halting from licking the kit. She looked up, standing up briskly, and murmuerd quietly, buisness-like. "Your kits will live."

Without a second glance, Echodrop padded out of the nursery, Spottedtail's seeming to tear a part of her heart when she left.

[Cheesles]

Shadowclaw lay down by his mate.
"Why Starclan? What have I done to have my mate dead? Have I disobeyed you in anyway?" He mewed quietly into her fur. Then suddenly in his grief he stood up and ran out of the nursery straight throught camp entrance, out into the wilderness. He needed to be alone.

[~ Jetter ~]

Spottedtail lay there. Dead. She was happeh to be dead. The end.
