Choosing the new deputy

Mountainstar came out into the clearing. "May all cats old enough to catch there own prey gather for a clan meeting!" he announced. "I will be choosing the new deputy." he said as they came out.

Jadeclaw padded out of the warriors den. Finally. Blackclaw was a good deputy. I wonder what happened to him... He sat in the inner circle around Mountainstar. It'll probably be Renfue... he noticed.

[Flamestar]

"Blackclaw has been run out disobeying the Warrior Code and mating with another clan. Sit down please, I will announce in a moment" he said.
OOC:I just made the Blackclaw part up

Jadeclaw tensed. He doesn't know Blackclaw died soon after. Then again, only I know. And a wolf. He wrapped his tail around his paws.

"I don't think anyone has seen him since. Does anyone know where he s or what happened to him?" he asked.

For a second Jadeclaw wanted to blurt out that he had followed Blackclaw to the border and from there saw him get killed by a wolf on Thunderclan territory. But he kept his mouth shut.

Stormear padded into the clearing and sat up the straight, he never really wanted to be a deputy. 'May as well try it, and if he doesn't accept me then fine. If he does, Im lucky.' thought Stormear as he laid down onto his belly.

Mountainstar announced "I will now announce! I say these words before StarClan so that the spirits of my ancsestors may hear and approve my choice." The new deputy of Riverclan is Jadeclaw! Congratulations Jadeclaw." he meowed.

[Spottedheart]

"Congratulations Jadeclaw!" Stormear meowed happily. He looked around a bit then yawned, quietly he entered the warriors den.

Jadeclaw stood motionless, shocked. I thought it would be Renfue... Someone told congratulated him, but he was so lost him his thoughts he didn't know who. He was aware all eyes were looking at him, and he didn't know what to say. After a moment that seemed like moons he said, "Thank Starclan."

[Amberstorm]

The young apprentice yowled along with the rest of the clan as they approved Jadeclaw as the new deputy. Though Amberpaw eyed the lucky warrior the whole time with a look in her green eyes that could only be recognized as firey ambition, but in a good way. Somehow, I'll become deputy one day, and then maybe leader. I'll work harder than anyone else if I have to! I'll throw my life away for my clan, even if I never become deputy. I'll show them I am loyal to Riverclan! She promised herself. And then, as if satisfied with her goal, she padded over to Jadeclaw, stood proudly before him, her green eyes glittering, and congradulated the warrior. "Congradulations, Jadeclaw. You are now deputy, and my example." Amberpaw stated boldly, and then walked away, her tail in the air.

[Flamestar]

Mountainstar narrowed his eyes, "Shadowstar, you have been announced dead, attacked by a wolf, apparently they were wrong. I have been announced by StarClan the true leader of RiverClan!" he growled.

[LEN KAGAMINE]

Tigerpelt watched in silence as the thought to be dead Leader stood before them. I knew a wolf couldn't take her that easily! He thought.

[Amberstorm]

The appearance of Shadowstar nearly scared Amberpaw out of her fur. She yowled aloud and turned around to see Shadowstar, the leader before Mountainstar. She had heard rumors about the leader's disappearance, but she had never thought Shadowstar was actually alive. "What the..." Amberpaw muttered to herself, backing into Tigerpelt. "Hey! I may not have eyes, but hopefully you do!" whispered Amberpaw hurriedly to hide her embarrassment.

Tigerpelt just ignored her ude comment. He was too deep in thought to hear her.

"Shadowstar, come with me to the Snowstone, then we will know who is the traitor!" he yelled.
