Amberpaw was dreaming. There were two cats, both black and shadowy. She couldn't catch them, no matter how much she ran or yowled after them. And then, abruptly, she woke up, feeling a part of her soul missing. Looking around the dark den, she didn"t feel Nightpaw"s presence. Or Smallpaw's. Getting up, she looked around camp. But they were gone. "What are they doing?" she asked to herself. Suddenly, Rinz spoke to her. "They left. I saw them. They had the right idea." Amberpaw was confused. "Why would they leave? What do you mean they had the right idea?" She asked. "Because Tigerstar will rule all, just as I will rule you." Rinz hissed. "You will do no such-" Her next words were cut off as Rinz devoured her soul. As quick as a flash, Amberpaw was gone, replaced by the evil flaming spirit. "I have you now, apprentice!" Rinz said aloud in Amberpaw's voice as it made her leave RiverClan camp, Amberpaw in a deep sleep, trapped in her own mind.
