On a Hunting Trip (Aspenleaf and Silvercloud ONLY)

Silvercloud cocked her head to one side. He was laughing? In a teasing way she mewed loudly "Took you long enough!" The silvery she-cat trotted towards the oak, quietly and stealth-like. A scurrying was heard over the rustle of the forest-ground. Mouse! Blue eyes flicking to the ferns Silvercloud stalked forwards, eventually coming in view of the plump creature. Now!

Her body jerked into motion, shooting out of the bush; paws thumping hardon the mouse. Biting down on it's neck she covered it with dirt; being sure no other creature would come for it. Her head turned back to Aspenleaf, seeing if he ahd caught anything.

He stuck out his tongue teasingly. Watching as she went to find some prey, he did the same. Secnting a pigeon, he found the fat bird pecking at some seeds. He crouched low and stalked toward it. His paw flipped over a small stone and the pigeon flew.
Before it could send a warning to the rest of the prey in the area, he sprang into the air, almost as high as the first branch on the tree. His paws ripped at its wing and he caught it as he landed back on the ground, snapping its neck. He placed it next to Silvercloud's mouse, and covered it with leaflittter and earth.
"There we go," he mewed.

Silvercloud chuckled, quite amused as Aspenleaf stuck out his tongue at the silver she-cat. She nodded, impressed, to the pigeon he just now buried. "Your rustling must have scared off all the prey in this area. Come, to more open areas." With a leap, she was of again, bounding and charging through undergrowth. In a matter of seconds she halted, sniffing the air. Rabbit! Her eyes flitted to the rustling in the bush, moving pawstep by pawstep; wind ruffling her silvery fur. A quick jump and a snap of the neck made the peice of prey limp in her jaws, trotting back towards the path with silent steps. Thankyou StarClan. Amazing how well the prey was running today; that rabbit could feed multiple cats till they were bursting!

Aspenleaf followed as Silvercloud darted to a different area, giving a joking hmph at her comment. He sprang after her and stopped when he saw her with a fat rabbit in her jaws.
"Whoa," he mewed. "Nice job." not wanting the silver she-cat to outhunt him, he lifted his nose to the gentle breeze. The scent of vole caught his nose. Parting his jaws to pinpoint the prey's location, he twitched his ears. Scrabbling could be heard in a bush.
"You can't hide from me!" he whispered to himself, dropping into hunter's crouch. He inched closer, and the vole could barely be seen behind the branches at the foot of the bush.

Silvercloud watched with an amused whisker twitch; seeing that he wanted to prove himself to her. Her paws were completely silent padding over to him, watching from a tails-length away. Her eyes fixed on the peice of precious prey as he stalked forward.

[DOCTA OCTAGONAPUS]

He moved foraward slowly and pounced at the vole, swiping it up with a paw. It was tossed into the air, and he made a jump for it.

Silvercloud watched with curious eyes as he flung the vole in the air, her eyes turned to amusement. With a skywards leap, her paws rocketed into the air and, with a twist, skewered the vole in her claw, killing it quickly; before landing on the ground with silent garce. The she-cat turned to look at Aspenleaf, vole now beside her paws.

[DOCTA OCTAGONAPUS]

Aspenleaf faltered as the silver she-cat leaped and snagged the prey, killing it and landing elegantly on the other side.
"Hey!" he growled playfully. He swiftly dived for the vole, swiping it away with his paw. Running after it, he shouted to Silvercloud, "Come and get it!" as if playing Keep Away.

Silvercloud chuckled as Aspenleaf snatched it back. She charged of after it; sliding on the grass as her paws grasped the vole. The she-cat bowled into Aspenleaf, vole still in paw.

Aspenleaf was knocked over as Silvercloud tried to grab the prey back. He tried to snatch it from her paws as they toppled, skidding on the dew-covered grass.

Silvercloud laughed gleefully, bowling over Aspenleaf, paws snatching the mouse. "What are we ...? Kits?" The she-cat snickered playfully.

Aspenleaf picked himself back up and shook his fur. He twitched his whiskers and shrugged. "Maybe we're overgrown super-furry ones." starting back toward the prey they had already cought, "You never know," he joked.
He found the pile of prey and waited for Silvercloud. "Should we catch some more? We have a..." he glanced at the kill. "...a mouse, a rabbit, a pigeon, and that vole."

[Riber~]

Silvercloud boudning back over to the prey; still taken-aback by the amount they had caught. "No, this is plenty. Come on, we should head back." Picking up her rabbit and mouse the she-cat trotted back to camp, a slower pace than normal. She looked over at Aspenleaf "What did you do before you got here? Where did you live?"

[DOCTA OCTAGONAPUS]

He carried the pigeon and vole as they padded back to the camp.
"Well," he meowed, preparing to answer. "I just lived by myself, moving from place to place so I wouldn't get caught." his words were slightly muffled by the fresh-kill.
