Goldenkit and Moontail

[Goldenstorm]

Moontail lay comfortably in the nursery with Goldenkit laying at her side. The large kit needed comforting and she was there licking him furiously til he fell asleep, out of reality of the clans. Nothing to worry about when your a kit, but this kit did something tremendous. He risked his own, young life to help save a warrior and found that same warrior's mother. He could of died easily by doing this, and the kit knew it. He deserved to be apprenticed, but he was not yet old enough. She looked at the rising and falling of the bundle of fur, and wished she had a kit that she raised. Her only kit, Watertail, was given up by her because she thought clan life would be a better path than hers. She was right, her warrior son was very brave and very noble. Though she knew this, she still longed for a kit. "Goldenkit. Goldenkit. Wake up young one." She gently prodded the young kit while she spoke softly into his ear.

[Goldenstorm]

"Wha-What? What is it Moontail? Is there trouble? Where's Watertail?" Goldenkit asked worryingly.

[Goldenstorm]

"Nothing is wrong and Watertail is at the gathering, no need to be worried. How would you like to be my kit?" She asked.

[Goldenstorm]

"But Moontail, you have a son. Watertail." Goldenkit replied.

[Goldenstorm]

"I know, but you have no kin at all in the clans and I was never able to raise Watertail. You could be mine and I yours. You are already weaned and only eat fresh-kill. When you are old enough, I will help you find your mother, It couldn't be that hard. You found me fairly easily." Moontail explained.

[Goldenstorm]

" I have no words to say how much I am grateful to you. I agree, your my mother now Moontail." and with that the bundle of fur curled back it a ball with his tail over his nose, and head on his paws, he slipped back into sleep.
