A lonely walk

Paintpaw padded through the wet debris on the forest floor. Her shoulders sank and her feet dragged on the moist soil. Was she the only one that would miss home? The place she was born in, the place she played with Aquapaw, the place where she caught her first piece of prey. And soon, it would all be gone. They were leaving everything, everything she knew and loved would vanish in a matter of days. Wow, she would miss this place. What would it be like in the new home? Would she get lost on the journey? Or even die? "I've got to stop thinking about this." she muttered to herself. Stopping in her tracks she just stood there, gazing at all of the things she knew. What would happen?
