Locustkit sat in outside the Nurcery, tail curling and uncur;ling as he thought about what he should do. Silverstar ahd forgotten to apprentice him, and so he was determined to do something to make her pay. The question was, what? He had been thinking for days, weeks and still nothing came to him. He was much too proud to ask for help though, and the over-aged kit was becoming restless.

Eaglekit bounced out of the nursery with a spring in his step. Noticing Locustkit, he tumbled over to meet him. "Hey buuuddy, what's the matter?" Locustkit, usually never still, was just sitting there with a sour expression on his face.

"I'm trying to plot." Locustkit grummbled. He narrowed his eyes and sighed. Nothing. "I need to pull a prank on Silverstar." He swallowed, "Any ideas?"

"A prank on Silverstar?" Eaglekit's eyes widened, no one had ever pulled one over on Silverstar! He smiled at the thought of it. "That's a tough one. What are some things that Silverstar is afraid of?" Tiny malignant flowers bloomed in his small mind.

Whitekit had heard, "Did I hear prank?" she mewed in her gibberish. "I could come up with a million pranks to pull on Silverstar." she boasted, sitting down, though she knew he could never understand her.

Luckykit had followed her bst friend. "Whitekit and I are ready to join you.", she translated. "I'm sure Whitekit has a lot of ideas, am I right, pal?", she mewed. Luckykit was also now 6 moons old and she and her brothers need to be apprentices, but no sign of their ceremonies coming yet.

"I don't know!" Locustkit turned to look at Whitekit. "Go on then."

Sealkit's eyes widened. He had grown out of his confusion, and had learnt the difference between cats and food. he still enjoyed the ocasional munch on his own tail though, and half the kits still thought of him as a visios cannibal. He lept forward onto Eaglekit, slavering.

"What in Starclan's name are you doing Sealkit!?" The kit's eyes were wild and he was slobbering like a mangy dog. "Get off of me!" With a trmendous shove he managed to push Sealkit away, if only for a second. Eaglekit burst into laughter, "You're so funny Sealkit."

He coughed, "Yeah, go on Whitekit."

Luckykit waved her tail from one side to the other and looked at her friend, ready to translate her foreign language.

Sealkit grinned sheepishly and wiped a paw across his mouth. He blinked and turned to look at his sister, questioningly. Apart from Luckykit, nobody exept her brothers understood her whacky language.

Whitekit smiled, clearing her small throat with a high pitched rumble. "Okay. So first, we're going to need some twigs, leaves, and a piece of prey." she started, in her mumbling nonsense of a language. "We'll dig a deep hole at the end of the dirt tunnel, putting some really bad prey down at the bottom. Then cover it with some sticks and put leaves or sand over it to disguise it from being seen. After it's all set up, one of us can take another piece of prey, a good one, and lay next to it, pretending that we got hurt catching a piece of prey. Then someone cat get Silverstar to check the phony sick kit out and she'll fall in to the hole as soon as she steps on it." she grinned inwardly at her own scheme. "It's practicaly fool proof. Even Sealkit over here could pull it off, ain't that right brother?" she smiled at him, a sly gaze in her eyes.

[Lynx]

Luckykit smiled. "That's a great idea!", she mewed. At the questioning looks of the other kits she translated. "Someone get a piece of crowfood. Someone else dig a hole in the dirtplace tunnel. We'll put the crowfood in and cover the hole with leaves and sticks. After that we'll take a good piece of fresh kill. Someone will pretend to got hurt while hunting. We'll get Silverstar and she'll fall into the hole, stinking of dirt and crowfood."

Will they ever learn how to speak properly? I mean they will be apprentices and warriors one day ^^
