Hum....... (Jetter and Len)

[Naruto]

A soft, subtle movement alerted the mouse that there was a predator on the prowl. It lifted it's head, looking around nervously. In a swift motion, a silvery-gray she-cat leaped at the rodent, swatting at it's head. It fell limp. Dead.

The cat lifted it's head, prey dangling from her jaws. Naruto, her fur long and ruffled, stood there. Just... Stood there. And that marks my warrior's ceremony. she thought smugly, a tiny grin twitching her lips.

She knew she shouldn't be here. It was RiverClan territory. She should be with Sasuke, her best friend, in their little den in between RiverClan and ShadowClan territory. But she'd decided to be a little more daring. It wasn't like Deathpaw was going to outmatch her again...

She twitched her whiskers, flinching as she thought of her old friend, and turned to step over the border with her prey.

A thin gray tom slipped through the territory he once called home. The tom's long gray-and-white fur was only a tad unkept. He hadn't cared to finish grooming himself before he left the den he and his friend had been using as a home for the past few moons. Sasuke, formerly known as Foxkit, was now twelve moons old, a warrior's age. They hadn't been able to train by having mentors, but they created their own moves and hunting skills. They even had a mentor come to them while they were training not too long ago. Itachi... Yes, the very cat that killed Sasuke's mother and father, and the older brother Sasuke loathed, helped them out on training. Why? Because they were getting no where on that day. It seemed that Naruto was getting a bit fat. He thought it was just because she was eating a lot. Then again, they hadn't been able to eat nearly enough since it started raining twenty-four/seven in Riverclan Territory, thus scaring away all of the prey. The tom shook his head, clearing his thoughts. He needed to find more prey. Sure, it was considered stealing now, but they needed to live. The tom opened his mouth, drawing in the scents. There were mingled scents, that of a mouse, a squirrel, fish, rain, and... Naruto. The she-cat who had ran after him when he bluntly left camp many moons ago and insisted to stick with him, even though her sisters disapproved of it. Sasuke sighed, trying to focus on the prey. A squirrel was stuck in the mud not too far from where he was. The tom crouched, his paws slightly sinking into the mud. He crept forwards then stopped, letting the small mammal think it was just the rain squishing some of the mud. Then, he pounced, swiftly breaking the squirrel's neck. The tom picked up the kill, not wanting to bury it in the mud, and slipped through some of the bushes towards Naruto's scent. The she-cat had a mouse in her jaws, and she was ready to step over the border. "Naruto." He called, his mew a bit muffled.

Ebonybreeze lifted her nose, scenting the air for prey. Her afternoon hunt hadn't been going too well and she felt like she owed her Clan to bring back some prey, but she couldn't focus, her mind was swirling with thoughts. Lately rumors had been flying around about ThunderClan stealing prey, but the small black she-cat doubted that they would this close to leaving the forest. And one of her biggest problem was Deathstrike, he was kill crazy and just ... dark. It pained Ebonybreeze to see him fade to an evil cat like that. But, she still wanted to prove him guilty for several murders and she had to figure out a way to do that.

As she scent the moist air but instead of the fresh scent of fish, she smelt her sister, Naruto, and Naruto's mate Sasuke. Her instincts as a warrior was to drive them out, but ... maybe they could help her, maybe they could prove their own names instead of Ebonybreeze doing all of the work. They may have betrayed her, but they deserved to know that they were being held for the murder of Orchardpaw.

Ebonybreeze padded closer, creeping closer to the ground. She leaped behind a bush and decided to wait for one of them to realize her.

[Naruto]

Naruto turned towards her friend's voice, her expression confused at first. Then she brightened. "Sasuke! I thought you were back at the den...?" She shook her head and trotted over, waving her tail in greeting. She eyed his squirrel, smiling. "You had better luck than me." she accused.

[LEN KAGAMINE]

ooc: wait... Why are you guys saying mate? D: They aren't supposed to be mates until they know that Naru is preggo! They just reffer to eachother as friends for now. :DD

Sasuke twitched his right ear as a movement not too far off was made. He blinked and dropped the squirrel at his paws, spitting out some of the loose fur that stayed behind. "It seems as though I did." The tom's expressionless face gave way to a small bit of happiness. At another movement from afar, the gray tom opened his jaws, breathing in the scents. Fish. Rain. Squirrel. Mouse. Other clans... And... Oh, what was her name... Oh, right. Ebony. The tom didn't care to add paw to the end of Ebony's name. They last saw her when she was a new apprentice, but she could be a warrior now. "Ebony. You can come out, now." He called, the happiness that tried to form on his face gone in a blink of an eye.

[~ Jetter ~]

"It's Ebonybreeze." she meowed cooly, her voice low and her eyes were watching for a patrol or a cat hunting by the river. If anyone saw Robinkit and Foxkit ... they would be in the paws of StarClan ... hopefully. "What are you two doing here? If you get caught I can't help you. After all, half the Clan wants both of your heads on the fresh-kill pile." Ebonybreeze muttered the last sentence almost silently.

[Naruto]

Naruto turned towards her sister. "You were made warrior? Congratulations," she mewed, flicking her tail absently. She twitched her whiskers in amusement. "We need to eat too, ya know. There isn't much prey 'round where we live..." She stiffened, just barely hearing Ebonybreeze's whispered words. "I know that!" she snapped, flattening her ears.

Any sane cat could see that Ebonybreeze's words bothered her. Made her anxious. Even angry. For what she wouldn't tell. At least, not now...

[LEN KAGAMINE]

Sasuke snorted. "Ok, then, Ebonybreeze. Why would half the clan want our heads?" The tom leaned tilted his head slightly, his tail flicking.

"Because you've been framed for killing Orchardpaw." she meowed, skipping the details. "Deathstrike has blamed you two for it and probably more than half of the Clan now believes it."

Gah.

[Naruto]

Naruto took a step back. "Orchardpaw? Why would Deathstrike kill her?" she growled, unbelieving. "Deathpaw-no, Deathstrike, wouldn't. He couldn't have killed her." She was clearly having trouble seeing her old friend murdering a clanmate. "The only one he's ever wanted to kill was me. Why kill another?"

She was babbling. She shut her jaw before she said anything else, instead glaring hotly at Ebonybreeze. Not believing a word her sister said.

[LEN KAGAMINE]

Sasuke blinked again. "Who's Orchardpaw?" A small, confused look spread across the tom's face. This Orachardpaw wasn't around when he was still in Riverclan... That, or she was, and he never cared to learn her name. The tom sighed, resting his long, bushy tail on Naruto's shoulder. "He wasn't called Deathkit/paw/strike for nothing. He was bound to kill someone someday." The ex-Riverclanner's voice came out dull. He believed the words that Ebondybreeze had said. It figured. They had last seen Deathstrike as Deathpaw. He was wounded very badly by Itachi, yet he lived. Didn't he vow to kill Naruto? Eh, the tom couldn't remember. The past moons went by too quickly. "Well, we might as well clear our names... Say, Ebony?" Sasuke was still using just Ebony, mainly because it was quicker to say. "Didn't Riverclan go over to stay with Windclan for the time being? A whole hord of their scent crossed the border into Windclan territory... I think I may have a plan to clear up the murders... Though, we'd be risking out lives because of that insane psycopathic tom we once called out friend. Also, he's holding a large grudge on fatty over here," Sasuke glansed at Naruto, "for Nightclan-or-Starclan knows why."

[Naruto]

Naruto glared at Sasuke. "Call me fat again and you'll be in ShadowClan with Owlkit in the nursery." she growled, only an ounce of teasing in her voice. Although she denied it, she looked back at her pelt, noticing how rounded her belly was. Her ears burned with embarrassment and she quickly averted her gaze back to Ebonybreeze.

Ebonybreeze listened to Foxkit's, hmm, he had a plan. "What is your plan?" she asked, leaning in a bit, hoping no one was around to hear or watch.

[LEN KAGAMINE]

Sasuke clreared his throat, thinking a bit as to how he would word this. "Well," he started, "all of Riverclan is staying at Windclan, correct? Well, that means that Deathstrike will be there too. If Naruto and I could lure him out into the moor, you could wait a few moments before gathering some of Riverclan, and Windclan if you want, to 'take on a patrol.'" The tom blinked a bit, checking to make sure everyone was following along with what he was saying. "You'll take the patrol, make sure that they're as quite as can be, and keep them downwind. All you have to do is keep the patrol within around twenty fox-lengths. Knowing Deathstrike, he'll chase after us and try to kill us. We'll try to fight him back, but we'll be lashing out questions to him, trying to get the truth out. Once he does, you and the rest of the patrol will hear. Then, I'll get Itachi to come, knock him out cold, and we'll drag him back to Windclan so that he can be exiled and our names'll be cleared." The silver tom flicked his fluffy tail that was dampened by the rain.

[Naruto]

Naruto stared at Sasuke. "Why can't you come up with good ideas more often?" she asked, her eyes shining as she flicked his ear with her tail. "We could have used some a couple of moons ago..." She twitched her whiskers. Sasuke didn't hate Itachi as much as he had at first.... She thought he might be warming to him, in fact. "Will Itachi come?" she asked.

Sasuke blinked, twitching his ear when Naruto flicked it with her tail. "Hmph." He grunted, shaking his drenched pelt, spraying water everywhere. "Oh, Itachi'll come. Expessially since he's normally always with us... Just, hidden." The tom sighed. He hadn't like the idea of having his brother around at first, but he got used to it. Besides, Itachi was great at coming to the rescue when they needed him.

[Naruto]

Naruto took a few steps away from her best friend. "Now I'm even wetter," she said in a growl, waving her tail to take the sting out of her voice. She nodded at Sasuke's explanation. "True."

"No, no, no." Ebonybreeze mewed, " Shadowstar, Nightjaw, and Flarestorm are only going to WindClan, they are only talking about the journey. They should be back with in the hour." she finished, "But maybe we could do this in RiverClan." she suggested.

Sasuke tilted his head. So, that's why the Riverclan scent crossing the border only had the scents of a few cats. The tom sighed. "Either way, it should work, just forests and rivers instead of the moor."
