Vigil [Open]

[Cheesles]

Shadowstar padded out of his den, shaking his head slightly. He could see the sun lowering to the hills. Tomorrow he would set off to those hills, to visit the Windclan camp. He leapt down from the ledge into the clearing. The new warriors crept silently from the shadows of the camp. They assembled in a circle around him. Shadowstar nodded respectfully at the new additions to the warriors den.

Tigercloud despite her excitement, kept calm and quiet. She had much to think about tonight as she sat vigil, guarding camp.

~ Shadowstar waited patiently for all the cats to settle. "Tigercloud, you will be positioned on the left side of the camp entrance, and Raincloud, you on the right. Batfur, please guard the entrance behind the nursery. Deathstrike, you will guard beside the fresh kill pile and and Lonewind I trust you to find another suitable place, away from the others where you won't be tempted to talk." He mewed sounding as if he was directing it at Lonewind. But he swung his head around to look at all the new warriors, "All of you," He flicked his tail dismissively and he stood up. "You are free to start your vigil." He turned and leapt with great agility up to the ledge.

Shadowstar looked down, his eyes shining with the now risen moon. He watched as the cats took their places. He nodded his head with appreciation, before disappearing into his den. He settled in his nest. He hadn't slept for two nights, since before the journey to Snowstone, he was definately glad for a rest.

Swiftpaw settled into her new den. Her eletric green eyes looked out at the new warriors starting their vigil. That will be me, one day... she thought wistfully.

[Wolvine]

OOC: What about Ebony?

Deathstrike walked towards his post without feeling any exitement. He settled down, giving a glance at Tigercloud before closing his amber orbs and perking his earsat full height. He always worked best when only one of his sences was alert.

Raincloud nodded to Shadowstar before she headed towards her assigned spot, her mouth clamped shut as she sat down on the cool grass. It pricked through her fur and she was tempted to yelp, but she swallowed it. With her ears pricked and eyes bright with alertness, she felt far to awake to ever fall asleep. The night chill bit at her ears, forcing her to keep alert. Her bright blue eyes pierced through the night as she tried to see the others.

[Naruto]

It was going to be no trouble to stay quiet for Batfur. The tom was silent most of the time, anyhow. He nodded hastily and padded to the camp entrance. He could see the wisdom in Shadowstar's choice; he was the largest as well as the eldest of the new warriors. If someone tried to intrude, they'd think twice, seeing his huge, looming form guarding the entrance.

[Cheesles]

Shadowstar appeared out of his den again. He expected to see Ebonybreeze's confused face looking up at him, and he did. "Ebonybreeze, you can guard with Batfur."

Ebonybreeze nodded to Shadowstar, to show that she understood his command. The small figure padded towards entrance and sat there, gazing upon the openness that she loved. It would be hard to not sleep or talk all night.

[Cheesles]

Tigercloud watched as disappeared again back into his den. She turned and nodded resspectfully at Raincloud who sat beside her.

[Naruto]

Batfur didn't give Ebonybreeze even the slightest glance. The huge tom-cat's eyes were on the forest. He anticipated seeing Leafpaw again. Just the thought made his spine tingle with excitement.

[Wolvine]

Deathstrike oprnred his eyes and began to scan the area, his gaze resting on Batfur. The warrior seemed skittish lately. The kind of silence he left behind his was in some way.. different from the one that had loomed before. There was something bothering him.

His eyes turned to look at the figure beside him. Ebonybreeze. He recalled how close she had come to ruining his plan. How had she known so much? She seemed to almost... The cat was deffinatly holding back something. Just like her sisters.

His gaze swept over to look at Tigercloud. She was related to Naruto was she not? She had tried to stop him once. She must be disposed of. Soon. He would plan that later though, once he had Shatteredpaw's trust.

Finally, there was Raincloud. He felt her hatred for him everytime he came within a hundred fox-lengths of her. Hate could be a powerful weapon, or a deadly weak-point. He would wait and see what was to become of her.

[Naruto]

Batfur felt eyes light on his pelt for a brief moment, and he bristled, swinging his large head around to glare at Deathstrike, his eyes blazing gold. What is he looking at all of the new warriors for? Certainly they hadn't done anything. He knew that he hadn't done anything. Well, besides sneak out to meet Leafpaw. But eh.

[Goldenstorm]

Raincloud smiled back at Tigercloud, Funny how we got the same last name, eh? she thought, almost as if she were going to ask Tigercloud, but she resisted the notion. She let her eyes slip back into an alert gaze as she glanced over the camp, scanning for anything that could be considered a threat.

Then she saw Deathstrike.

The way that tom glared at her set her fur on end. She showed her fangs, wrinkling her lips. She almost hissed, but wasn't about to break her vigil. She wouldn't let him ruin her first night as a warrior, but she let her eyes speak every word she wanted to say. Stay away from me you flea-bitten rogue. I wish nothing to do with you. she growled in her head as her fierce eyes stared back at him.

[Wolvine]

Deathstrike blinked calmly at Raincloud, his unmeanacing amber gaze resting on Raincloud. He got her message, but showed no signs of anything. He was faintly aware of Batfur's golden glare, but ignored it, his attention concentrated fully on Raincloud.

[Goldenstorm]

Raincloud didn't want to alert any of the others, but she wanted to lunge at Deathstrike right then and there. She wish she could.
Instead she took a paw and slashed with unsheathed claws, a small hiss coming from her paw at she speed it slipped through the air. If only that were your neck.... she hissed in her mind.
She kept her blue eyes bright with fury as she glared at Deathstrike. Her neck fur bristled and she swished her tail, her paws getting a bit itchy as she forced herself to stay sitting. She stood up, hoping to relieve them. Her fangs glistened in the moonlight as she threatened the tom. Keep moving before I make you.... she shot the words through her eyes so they could do the talking.

[Wolvine]

Deathstrike raised his eyerideges, unimpressed by the she-cat's show of anger. His head jerked suddenly as a noise errupted from the side of the clearing, tensing for a moment, before realizing it was just a late night bird. He grinned as it turned to look seemingly streight at him, it's wide eyes staring. There was something in it's talon, a mouse prehaps. It let out a cry and flew off in its ssilent grace.

Raincloud figured it was no use, she wasn't about to risk her warrior name on account of some ignorant tom. So she took a deep sigh and breathed in, refilling her lungs with fresh air, and sat down. She shut her eyes to open her ears up and wrapped her fluffy tail neatly around her paws. She closed her mouth lightly and let the air seep through her fur, using the chills to keep her awake.
