Cherryheart walked slowly into the nursery. Time had flown scine she had gone night-hunting with her mate, Thistleclaw. She lay down on a pile of moss and made herself comfortable. Her belly was huge and the kits were expected to come any day now.

As she sat down, an excruciating amount of pain rippled through Cherryheart's body. She yowled as it got worse.

OOC: medicine cat hurry up!

[Bumblebee~*]

Thistleclaw burst into the nursery, his eyes starting to spark with a wild light. He knew this day would come, but he sure wasn't expecting it! "Ch-Cherryheart! Is it the kits? Are they coming?" He asked, the questions spilling out of his mouth one by one. Am I really about to become a father? He thought, pride exploding in his chest, tinged with fear. He knew nothing about raising kits.

His mate's yowling broke through his thoughts. "Hold in there!" He shouted, on the verge of panicking. Where was the medicine cat? He lay down beside her, licking her comfortingly. "It'll be all right soon, Cherryheart." He whispered, eyes blazing, and continued to lick her.

Cherryheart moaned again in pain as another wave of cotruvulsions passed through her body.

Cherryheart moaned "Thistleclaw..." no louder than a whisper. Then the largest wave of pain rippled through her as the first small bundle came out.

[Bumblebee~*]

Thistleclaw barely heard her utter his name before he registered that the first bundle had come. Trying to remember what to do, he nipped at the sac and watched as the kit tumbled out, its fur matted and its eyes clamped shut. He licked it vigorously, covering the little scrap with rasping, rhythmic strokes. He wasn't ready for this!

OOC: the first born is applekit, then thrushkit, spottedkit and peachkit and soz sparkey but i had to change dapplekit to spottedkit

Cherryheart held back a shriek as yet more pain pulsed through her and two more bundles tumbled out. Not much longer after came the last one. Cherryheart sighed in relief as the pain eased and she then started to lick one of the kits. As she looked at the others, she smiled, names already forming in her mind.

The tan-and-brown warrior pinned his ears back as he started to lick the other two kits along with the first one, taking turns. Cherryheart was licking another mewling bundle. I'm a father! Thistleclaw yowled delightedly in his mind. I'm finally a father!
