I'M TOTALLY OLDER THAN YOU!

Pastpaw lay twisted on the ground of the clearing. His bottom half lay regular, and his top was turned upwards towards the sky. He lay there with his eyes closed, lazing and procrastonating. Today, right now, he was supposed to be out with his mentor that he'd had for more moons than he needed to. He was the age of a young warrior, and he was still in the apprentices den, taking up more room that the others. His mentor had become irritated with him. Because he was the age of a warrior, he was going to start acting like a warrior. So, now, he had to wake up at a certain time and go out there to him. He woke up at dawn, but he still hadn't gotten out there. He was too lazy. Hopefully this wasn't a surprise assessment.

Hollypaw lay a little ways away from the freshkill pile, just... Lying there. She didn't mind the rain that was running in rivulets down her fur, so she could lie there without being uncomfortable. She wasn't aware of anyone else in the clearing, so her eyes were closed. Jeez. Some cat had come into the apprentice den smelling like fox-dung! So she'd come out here to maybe get a little more sleep.

OOC: They live in a cave. XD

Pastpaw rolled onto his back and then to his side. From across the fresh-kill pile he spotted Hollypaw. The black she-cat looked as calm as ever. A grin spread across Pastpaw's face. She was cute, but he thought that about all of the she-cats.

[Naruto]

OOC: She has her own personal rain-cloud. >DD And CUTE? OMG... If he said that to her, she's kill him. XDDD

Hollypaw felt eyes on her pelt, and opened her own half-way. It was... Pastpaw? Her eyes were blurry with sleep. "Mm?" she muttered, yawning and stretching, her paws digging into the dusty clearing.

He kept his eyes on Hollypaw. "I'm bored, you want to do something?" He mewed over to her. She seemed like she was getting up. They might as well right? And he could see her more too.

[Naruto]

"Like what?" she asked, opening her eyes more fully and glancing at him from across the clearing.

OOC: Muse for Holly was shot.

Pastpaw shrugged. "Hunting? Goofing off? Just walking around? I don't know, something." It would be fun! And he was bored. And if he kept his steps right, he could avoid his mentor too. Hoepfully he wasn't sneaking around.

[Naruto]

Hollypaw stood up, a small smile on her face. "I'm all for goofing off. My mentor hasn't taught me anything but ow to pick out scents." she mewed, padding over.

Pastpaw stayed on the ground lazily, his eyes following Hollypaw as she got closer. "Ah, really? You're the lucky one. My mentor has taught me everything twice and I'm not making a lot of progress!" Being the oldest of apprentices had it's up and down sides. He was basically a certified mentor.

[Naruto]

Hollypaw rolled her eyes. "Yeah right. I've pretty much had to teach myself everything to even get this far!" She flicked her tail over his nose as she sat down beside him. "So? Where do you wanna go?"

Pastpaw got to his feet. "Like I said, you're the lucky one. I'd looove to not have a mentor." He shook out his fur. "How about in the forest?" He joked, laughing a bit. He turned around and started to run out into the forest.

Hollypaw raced after him, smiling. "Ah, what I wouldn't give to be in your lace right now!" she joked.
