Mintleaf was flung to the side, her angle saving her from being thrown completely vertical. But it didn't save her from rolling across the ground. She murmured, "Ouch," when she finally came to a stop. She stood up and shook the debris from her pelt. Then she crouched down and started to stalk back over to him.

[Goldenstorm]

Goldenstorm had rolled back onto his paws, he crouched down, staying right in front of Mintleaf as she tried to stalk him. "Come on! I thought you were a great warrior!" he laughed.

[Snigger]

Mintleaf didn't reply but instead a new light of seriousness glittered in her eyes. She unsheated her claws and swiped at the ground, churning up mud. She flung some towards Goldenstorm to distract him. Then she dashed forward the rest of the distance between them. She faked a blow to his legs but tried to aim a couple of quick blows to his head.

Goldenstorm shook his head furiously, cold mounds of mud landing on his ears and covering his eyes, blocking his two senses. He stopped. He scented the air, too late. Mintleaf was upon him, landing blows on his head like there was no tommorow. He charged forward, not thinking his next move. He acted on instinct, he was going to try and barrel into her.

[Snigger]

Mintleaf dodged Goldenstorm's blind charge with time to spare. She had enticipated his instintcual move after the beating she had given him. She stuck out one of her hindlegs and attempted to trip Goldenstorm as he charged past.

[Goldenstorm]

Goldenstorm shook his head some more as he tried to clear the mud away. Only a bit of the mud on his ears dared to budge, falling on the ground below him. Okay, now he was only blind, and not fully deaf. Without even knowing it, Mintleaf had stuck out her paw and he tripped over it. He fumbled to the ground, rolling about. He managed to roll over his head and back onto his paws. He turned around, his eyes still clamped shut. Okay, play-time's over. He stood there, his ears paying attention to every little thing. He waited for Mintleaf, his nose detecting her position.

[Snigger]

Mintleaf watched Goldenstorm standing with his ears pricked and his nose sniffing. She knew exactly how to fool him. She brushed up against a wet bush, soaking her fur and washing away her scent. Though it caused more noise for him to listen to. She took care up that by using her claws to throw around more mud. It landed around with squishing sounds, partcially masking her own noise. She inched forward, throwing more mud around as she went. When she was close enough she leapt up above Goldenstorm, twisted in the air, and aimed to land of his back.

Goldenstorm knew. Mintleaf had given him plenty of noise to follow, at first he didn't know what she was doing, but he figured it out. He leaped up, not twisting or anything, readying his own back to meet her paws.

[Snigger]

Mintleaf was shocked that Goldenstorm had figured out her plans. Her paws met his back in the air and she lost control of what she was doing. She was wide open for a counter attack.

[Goldenstorm]

He was still in the air, Mintleaf on top of him. He tipped his weight to the side, if he got this move right, Mintleaf would fall off of him and onto the ground, on her back. He would would stabilize himself and land on the ground, right beside her and pin her down while she was still laying there.

Mintleaf slid off of Goldenstorm's back and barrelled towards the ground. She would naturally fall on her back but this is a cat we're talking about. She twisted quickly and landed on her paws. She tensed up and waited for Goldenstorm to fall to try and land some blows before she retreated out of counterattack range.

Goldenstorm landed on his paws, he backed away, listening and scenting to see the Mintleaf had landed on her feet as well. He thought quickly, What can I do now? I'm just some blind cat, with all this mud in my eyes. He listedned harder, imagining how Mintleaf must be standing. He couldn't think of anything to do so he waited, he was always better in defense rather than offense.

[Snigger]

Mintleaf darted one of her forepaws out to try and trip Goldenstorm before leaping and trying to pin him down.

Goldenstorm heard her and tried to move away, but he tripped again. He fell onto the ground, a grunt coming out of his lungs as his fur felt the soil beneath his paws. His face hit the ground, water surrounding his face. He recoiled quickly and opened his eyes in surprise. He looked dow to see he had landed in a puddle. Wait....I can see! He got up, looking around and saw Mintleaf, "Let's do this." he mewed, he charged forward, leaping over her to land right beside her. He whipped around to seize her tail gently in his jaws and he rose a hindleg up on her side to push it against her shoulder to push her down. Now it was all about brute strength.

[Snigger]

Goldenstorm was using brute strength now but Mintleaf choose speed and tactics. When Goldenstorm landed beside her she spun away from his jaws and backed up out of his reach. She leapt backwards to give herself enough room for her next move. She charged forward with lightning speed and leapt for his head. Paws outstreched, she aimed to knock him off balance and have an opening to try and pin him.

[Goldenstorm]

Goldenstorm felt her paws grasp his head and he swung unevenly now. He decided quickly to use it to his advantage and he swung his hind legs up, aiming to hit Mintleaf's jaws as they held his head.

[Snigger]

Mintleaf felt paws impact her belly. A second ago they would have hit her jaws but she had, luckily, moved it away with momentum. Her paws slipped, though, and she fell to the ground. She couldn't waste a single second though to jump back up, ready for a strike.

[Goldenstorm]

Goldenstorm was free. He didn't bother to shake his dazed head and threw a tackle Mintleaf's way, he threw it hard and he thought it accurate. He was going to try to knock her down.

[Snigger]

Mintleaf didn't have time to dodge or jump so she took her only other option. She dropped to the ground and curled inward. Hopefully he'd trip clear over her body.

[Goldenstorm]

Goldenstorm would've tripped, without a doubt, but he had his head to low, it was meant to thrash up as it was supposed to hook under her belly, but now that she had ducked, his head was going straight toward her belly.

[Snigger]

Mintleaf felt her belly get impacted again. She was thrown back a few tail lengths. She gritted her teeth but besides that ignored the pain. She stood up and charged forward. When close to Goldenstorm she spun around, the mud and water helping her, and kicked out with her hind legs.

[Goldenstorm]

Goldenstorm felt pain thrash through his head, a blinding white flash passing through his eyes. He fell back and laid on his belly, down on the ground. Breathing deeply, he didn't get up again.

[Snigger]

Mintleaf turned back around and saw Goldenstorm sprawled on the ground. She gasped and was at his side in an instant. She asked, "Are you okay?"

[Goldenstorm]

Goldenstorm didn't reply, he reacted quick as lightning, sending his paw with sheathed claws at her ears. "Tricked ya!" he laughed. He jumped back up on his paws and lunged at her as soon as he threw his paw.

[Snigger]

Mintleaf felt one of Goldenstorm's paws cuff her ears. He had only gotten her that much because she had reacted slow. Though she jumped swiftly to the side afterwards. She used diseception a lot when she was battling and wasn't fully relaxed, which made it possible to dodge his lunge. She tried to counter by aiming to shove her shoulders into his side.
