A dark grey kit and a steel grey one played by a small stream. There ears were pricked with optimism and their tails waved excitedly while their mother, a grey tabby lay watching them and talking to another young she cat proudly. There was a terrified yowl and everything went black. An image came into focus. A blurred picture of a large orange fox, and a tabby queen trying in vain to tackle it. The same kits,but slightly older, watching helplessly from the den. They disappeared as did the fox. The still body of the young tabby queen lay in a puddle of her own blood.

The dark grey kit and the steel grey one hunting side by side, no longer kits, but older. The lighter grey cat wandering off in careful pursuit of prey. Then a crack, a screech and a sickening thud. The little grey she cat lay in a clearing on her side. A shiny rock type thing lay beside the cats head. Blood driped endlessly from the wound in the back of her neck.

A kind face of a brown tom cat looking down from the stars. Pictures of a dark cat and himself sharing tongues together. Both of them together, looked tired but proud of two young kits that lay beside the she cats belly. Then a flask of black and white. The litle grey and brown kit being picked up by a badger and swallowed whole. Then the brown tom leaping in front of his mate, saving his mates life, but taking his own.

Kierra swiped at the water, falling back. "NO!" She yowled. "No..." She mewed quieter looking back into the water. All she could see was her reflection. The surface rippled as a tear fell from her cheek. "Aura, Skye, Sombre, Kaylink...." She mewed repeating the names of her lost relatives. She looked up at the moon and leapt around and raced over the rocks.

Kierra came to a large cliff. She looked up. The moon shone brilliantly and was the largest she'd seen it in ages. "Mother?" A small voice came from the bushes. Kierra looked around. "Abby? Come here," Her young kit came trotting over and between her mothers legs. In unison, they both looked up at the moon. A tabby queen looked down at them, "Aura!" Kierra mewed at her mother. "Skye?" She yowled as her sister appeared beside her mother. A little kit bounced around the cats paws. A brown tom followed the kit and mewed something to him. "Sombre, Kaylink,"
