Hunting Party Assembly! (OPEN 'TIL WE LEAVE)

[Mosspaw]

Waterstorm emerged from the Warrior's Den, and already felt the dampness in the air, when he forward, there was a trickle of water pouring down the side of the Warrior's Cave, and outward, toward the land beyond the warmth of the cave. "We'd better hurry and get the prey before if can jump back in their nests." He told himself. He stepped toward the fresh-kill pile, it was dwindling, like some cats were skipping out on hunting duty. That, or prey was just not there to be caught. He looked around the cave, and saw Mosspaw laying there, on his side, and knocking a rock back and fourth between his paws. "Looks like someone needs something to do. You're coming with me, the clan needs food, and you need hunting training." Waterstorm told the apprentice, immediately looking for more cats that would hunt with him.

"Sounds like a great idea!" Mosspaw meowed with nonexistent energy, as he had not eaten yet today. He couldn't eat, until everyone else did, since that's what an apprentice is supposed to do. He stood up, and stumbled, leaning up against Waterstorm. "Letsh go!" he meowed, feeling tired already. He sat down, before adding, "Just tell me when you've got the cats you need"

Smoketail sat in the middle of the clearing, his ears pricked towards the nursery. He'd just found out that Fernbreeze was having his kits. It concerned him. How could he be a good father as well as try to be a good deputy? It confused him beyond belief.

His tail twitched. Was that a declaration of a hunting patrol? He turned his head, looking for the source of the voice. Flamepelt and Mudpaw, it looked like. He got to his paws, his gray paws turned brown from the mud, and padded over to the two, fixing them with a stern blue eyed gaze. "What's this I hear of a hunting party?" the deputy rumbled.

[Mosspaw]

Waterstorm turned, and saw Smoketail standing there, looking confused, as usual. "Well," he meowed, "as you can see, our fresh-kill pile is less than it should be. As new-leaf has come, we had better stockpile our food in case of floods, or mudslides, that could kill much of our prey before we ever got a taste of it. And just to defeat two jobs at once, Mosspaw here needs practice hunting." Waterstorm meowed, pointing at the sleepy-looking apprentice. "Oh, would you like to come, Smoketail? It would be a great pleasure for our deputy to come hunting with us, so Mosspaw could see how a pro does it." He commented the deputy. In truth, the whole clan could use some food, just leaving leaf-bare and everything. Cats could finally get their fill in food, so no one would have to go starving again.

Mosspaw bowed his head to the deputy, and just sat quietly, waiting for them to say something.

[Naruto]

"Yes... The freshkill pile is low. We have many kits and queens as of late..." Smoketail murmured, nodding towards the nursery. "Yes. I will come with you."

[Lynx]

Liontail padded over. "I'll join, too.", he mewed and sat down near the other cats.

[Riber~]

Duskshadow silently lifted himself from his perch, stretching his legs and watching as the pink rays touched the horizon delicately. With a leaping bound, the burly tom landed softly, well, softly in his books, and padded towards the 'hunting patrol' formed by Flamepelt. Smoketail really did need to organize more patrols. He meowed, just loud enough for them to hear, his deep voice still echoing on the walls of the cave, "I'm coming too." With a singular nod he again, sat down, restless to begin.

[Naruto]

"We have enough members by now." Smoketail mewed. "Just a moment. Let me organize the patrols for the day. Go ahead and head out. I'll join you in a moment." He sped off to the warrior's den to give the orders.

OOC: Vixenstep, Goldenstorm, Mintleaf. All those are on dawn patrol.

[Lynx]

Liontail licked his paws. He can't wait to claw them into prey. Since the weather is still bad the clan needs more prey. Especially the kits and queens.

[Naruto]

Smoketail bounded back across the clearing. "Let's go."

[Mosspaw]

"Okay" Waterstorm meowed, and with a flick of his tail, Mosspaw followed him, and they both followed close after their deputy.
