Time To Move On

[Goldenstorm]

Barkfur rose to her paws, her belly rumbling. She looked down at her kits and noticed their eyes have already opened. It's nearly time. She spotted Whitekit already on her paws, jumping and falling all at the same time. Where's Thistlefur? He's going to miss us.

[Wolvine]

Sealkit gave a squeak of alarm as he began to see figures. They were tall, and dropped stuff that made a loud noise every so often. He rolled over towards his sister, instinctivley wanting to protect her, but hit himself on a stone and stood up, staring at a larger, moving figure.

Thistlefur's eyes gleamed happily as he saw Barkfur and his kits that seemed to have started to understand what their feet where really for. He padded over, dropping the mouse that he had carried over from SHadowclan and sat down wordlessly to guard over his kits.

Whitekit looked over at Sealkit, she tried to laugh at his clumsiness. Instead, a responsive squeak rose from her throat. She stumbled over to him and tried to paw him when she fell. She shook herself and got back up, she made her way to Thistlefur and looked up curiously.

Barkfur sat down, looking at Thistlefur. "They're ready."

[Wolvine]

Thitlefur gave a sad smile and nodded. "I won't be able to come see thme freely anymore." He sighed.

Sealkit gave an indignant squeak and glared at Whitekit, his furious amber eyes opening a little wider. Now he could see colours, propper shapes. He fell back, astonished at how the world looked.

[Goldenstorm]

Whitekit looked back at Sealkit, a mischievous smile on her muzzle. She could make out his cream tabby fur and his angry hazel eyes. She looked over at Vinekit, his dusty brown fur blending in with the den fur. The only way she could tell him from the dirt was his bright green eyes. Amazed, she looked over at Barkfur, who she assumed was her mother, and saw a dusty brown coat with a white blaze on her chest. Her tail was ringed in black and she possessed honey amber eyes. Taken back, Whitekit looked over at Thistlefur, who loomed above her. He had silver tinged fur with black and reddish markings. For some reason, she found his red nose funny.

Barkfur sighed, dropping her gaze. "I know." she muttered, "But I don't think I can spare any more time before the whole Clan comes here. I have to bring them to ThunderClan." despair chewed through her fur.

[Wolvine]

"Don't worry. I'll still see them at gatherings." Thistlefur sighed, touching his mate's shoulder with his tail.

Sealkit looked over at Whitekit, seeing her dazzling fur. It seemed to shine out against the never-ending rain in an almost sinerster way. He shrugged it off and stood up, wavering a bit and keeping balance with his tail only.

[Goldenstorm]

"Not for moons to come." Barkfur stood up, "I think we should go before we loose the sun." she decided.

Whitekit jumped, or so it seemed, over to Sealkit. She nudged into him hard, not being able to stop. Whether he fell or not, she didn't know for she fell backwards before she knew what happened. She shook her head, scaring away the her fuzzy sight and dizziness. She looked around her, just in case things changed while she was falling.

[Wolvine]

"I know. SHould I help you take them? I can leave you nearer to your camp." Thistlefur meowed.

Sealkit yawned, looked around and saw Whitekit had fallen. Unable to resist, he stummbled over and pounced.

[Goldenstorm]

Barkfur smiled and nodded, unable to speak.

Whitekit squeaked as Sealkit landed on her, his greater weight squishing her. She pushed up her legs instinctively, but didn't feel him going anywhere.

Barkfur reached down to grab Sealkit by the scruff so she could carry him back to camp.

[Wolvine]

Sealkit froze, his legs hanging . nHe hated being picked up, so after a few moments of shock he began to squirm and wriggle, trying to get free,

Thistlefur bent down to pick up Whitekit, hoping she wouldn't struggle. He looked over at Vinekit, wondering how two of them could transport three kits.

[Goldenstorm]

Barkfur let Sealkit free. She would have to walk with him, making sure he didn't wander off.

Whitekit let out the fiercest growl she could manage, though it was high pitched and faint. Anger rose within her, frustrated at her fear of heights and the thought of bared fangs digging into her scruff. She reached up her paws and tried to claw the thing that held her. Let me go!

Barkfur sighed. "We'll have to walk with them." she smiled at her troublesome kits.

[Wolvine]

"I'm sure they'll get tired before we get there." Thistlefur agreed, setting Whitekit down. "Vinekit seems fine. I'll take him for a while. Keep an eye on those two." He crouched over his son and picked up the dusty brown kit, amusement shining in his eyes.

Sealkit gave a squeak, glad to be free and for the first time began to run, stumbling all the time, falling on his face then getting up again till he reached the first tree. He put his paws on it, finally knowing what the big figures where.

[Goldenstorm]

Whitekit put her claws away with relief. She stumbled out of the den, a brisk wind surging through her fur, making her tumble over. She let out a high pitched trill as she hit the ground. Ow. She got back up and looked at all the trees, dead ferns, and light frost that covered all the leaves. In a matter of seconds she feel herself soaked through by the falling rain and she began to tremble in the freezing water. She looked behind her, unsure where to go. They'll know. She waited for her guides.

Barkfur chuckled as she followed her two kits. She stopped beside Whitekit, "Come on little one." she caressed Whitekit as she nudged her along. Whitekit followed reluctantly, hating the rain.

[Wolvine]

Sealkit wriggled, trying to escape a rabbit hole his head had become imprisoned in. He was squeaking furiously, and it was obvious that he didn't like the dark.

[Goldenstorm]

Whitekit raced over, quite unstable, and tried to clamp her teeth around Sealkit's tail so she could pull him out.

Barkfur trotted up beside her and pushed her away. She dug a little of the wet soil from the top of the hole, releasing Sealkit's head slightly. "If he can get his head stuck in there, he can get it out." she sat down, waiting for her kit.

Whitekit couldn't believe it, she could make out words, but she couldn't speak them herself. What if he can't? What if he's stuck in there forever?

[Wolvine]

Sealkit snorted, and fell back, dirt sprinling his head. His head seemed to be the same colour as Vinekit's pelt. He sneezed and shook himself, looking over at his sister. He opened his mouth to saw something, but the only noie that came out was a squeak.

[Goldenstorm]

Whitekit, feeling pretty bad for her brother, scrambled to his side. She tried to tell him to get up, but the only thing that came out of her was a little wail from her muzzle.

Barkfur smiled with satisfaction, "Well done little warrior." she mewed, she nudged her head against his tiny body to encourage him to get up. She looked behind her to see where Thistlefur and Vinekit were.

[Wolvine]

Thistlefur padded up to Barkfur, VINEKIT still in his jaws, smiling slightly.

Sealkit gave a sneeze and fell back, scared by the sound.

Barkfur nudged Sealkit again, in hopes he would stay on his paws. "You're going to have to walk with us or I'll have to carry you." she mewed softly beside him.

Whitekit sat down and meowed hard at her brother, it hurt her throat, but maybe if she meowed loud enough, he'd listen.

Thislefur smiled and padded towards the trees, pushing down the plants with his shoulders to allow his family to go on without being scratched.

Sealkit stared at his sister, stood up and tumbled towards the path that his father had forced through the undergrowth.

Whitekit followed without hesitation, the bitter cold whipping along her fur. She made her way to the side of her brother, she looked at him, a playful glint in her eye as she raced ahead of him.

Barkfur padded at a quick trot behind her kits and Thistlefur. Happiness blossomed inside her chest as she followed them, watching her kits, then looking to where Thistlefur was shoving his way through rough bramble and stubborn vines. She finally had a family again. "It looks as if the kits won't be giving us any trouble after all." she called to her mate, a relieved smile on her face.
