Darn! Gotten Again!

Littlestar scrambled up the Gathering Stone. The moon shown on this night, full, showing all of it's vigor. Once again, he had forgotten to name the cats going to the Gathering. He stood on the smooth rock, quickly going over in his head who he'd bring. He hadn't thought about it, hadn't considered it until now. So, as quick as lightening, he picked the first names that popped into his mind, they would go to the Gathering. Next time, he'd remember this task, but he also might forget, as he always did. If only he had a way to remeber without Blacksnow having to remind him all of the time.

"All cats, young and old, experienced, intelligent, and otherwise, come forth for a meeting as long as you stand as a member of FireClan!" He called, reciting the same gathering phrase as leaders before him, on and on, as it's always been, forever and always. He watched as cats gathered, others looking from there dens. Kits running out to here an exciting announcement, or to be away from their mothers. Elders going as far as they wish, while the queens scolded their run away kin.

"Today, as you all know, is the day of the annual Gathering." He mewed his speech in a voice, loud enough for each cat to hear as clearly as they would if he was standing right next to them. "I apoligise, once again, for not informing you all earlier of who would attend this occasion." He glanced up at the moon that shone over their territory. Hopefully, they hadn't started without them. "The cats that I have chosen this moon are: Cindercloud, Crypticspark, Hollypaw, Thrushflame, Snowcloud, and Deerpaw!"

Littlestar jumped down from the Gathering Stone, finished with his announcement, and began to walk out the entrance of camp, going to the Gathering, followed by, as he should be, his deputy, their medicine cat, and those chosen to come along to represent their clan.

Deerpaw gave a happy squeal and bounded off after her leader, pleased that she was going and her mentor wasn't.

Blacksnow looked around quickly, wondering if she shoukld go with her leader or make sure nobody was left behind. Chosing to stay, she backed away from the exit and waited.

[Goldenstorm]

Thrushflame quickly trotted after his leader, not saying a word as his face kept stern. Another Gathering. Wonderful. he thought to himself, he didn't like meeting other cats much, he liked fighting them better. But held his tongue and gritted his teeth and obediently followed.

Hollypaw bounded after her mentor, her pelt sleek and shining in the pale light of the barely visible moon. She wasn't too excited, because she'd heard of all the tales of mix-Clan relationships and such. What if some ignorant tom went and fell in love with her or one of her Clanmates? Then what would happen?

[Goldenstorm]

Thrushflame caught a glimpse of Hollypaw and he sighed. How come he had to get an apprentice? Couldn't he just do his warrior duties and be done with it? He shook his head, even more angered, I'll just have to put through with her. He looked to the side to see that she wasn't too cheery either, at least he could agree with that.

[Naruto]

The fluffy black she-cat caught Thrushflame looking sideways at her, in an almost angry look. What did I do?!she thought furiously, looking pointedly the other way to break his gaze.

[Goldenstorm]

Thrushflame looked back ahead of him, focusing on his heavy steps as he unhappily followed Littlestar, who today was looking especially little.
