Looking around(Twilightkit)

Raindapple slipped into the nursery,her belly slightly rounded with kits. She was just going to look around the nursery,just in case her kits came earlier than expected. She spotted Twilightkit and his brother in their nests and smiled slightly.

Twilightkit rose calmly, the even-tempered tom, shoving his older brother off part of the nest. This crowded nursery was really cramping his style, he stretched his hind legs and meowed rather loudly, not caring if he woke up any of the other kits. He preened his fur with his tongue, making sure he looked off the stray pieces of moss. He was slowly getting tired of this routine, it was too monotonous, the same thing over and over again. He then paused in mid-lick, out of the corner of his eye he saw a twitch of tortoiseshell fur. The spotted tom with a face of his father stared at the she-cat with a smile. "Oh, I didn't see you there."

"It's alright. I was just taking a look around,"Raindapple purred warmly,blue eyes sparkling. Twilightkit's face....and his spotted fur....reminded her of Leopardstrike.

Lillyflower was still worried because Honeykit was still missing.

Ignoring the impudent Lillyflower, and trying not to meet the overly-sweet eyes of Raindapple, Twilightkit resumed his fur cleaning. All these she-cats around made him think of his own mother. This was too weird and sort of creepy, how Raindapple stared at him. Like she was remembering something from ages past. He tried not to notice but it was just too obvious. And that Lillyflower, always moping around, if she wanted Honeykit back she could go find her herself. It wasn't like there was someone stopping her. He wanted to just scream at her, to stop sulking about not having a mate, he didn't even have parents, and she not doing anything about it. It was just getting on everyone's nerves. He looked around again, realizing that Raindapple was still there. "Uh... Can I help you with something?"

"No,you just remind me of someone."Raindapple mewed,looking away. She stared around the nursery,fond memories of playing with Leopardstrike as a kit before he was apprenticed flashing before her eyes. She didn't remember much before that,only her father's ginger pelt as he dropped her off at the entrance to the camp.

Twilightkit tried to hide his curiosity, and his annoyance. He hated it when the warriors of the clan were always so mysterious. Couldn't they just right out and say something without having to lead him down the path of inquiry. He rolled his eyes, looks like he would have to play the fool, "Who do I remind you of?" asked Twilightkit with a slight anger in his tone. He looked sideways at the she-cat as she stared around the nursery. What exactly was she doing... Pondering where she would lay her nest when she began kitting, most likely, though he didn't dare speak his thoughts out loud. Asking that would just be plain rude, even though the other kits did it all the time.

"You remind me of my old friend,Leopardstrike."Raindapple mewed,blinking. She scuffled her paws a little bit before starting to exit the den.

Lillyflower went out to look for Honeykit again.
