Hunting in the Raging Current(OPEN)

[Naruto]

Flarestorm trotted out towards the river,yawning sleepily. She stopped cold,seeing the river much larger than it was just days before. It was at least twenty-fox-lengths across,and she shivered,thinking of how deep it could be. The brown,swirling water lapped hungrily at her ginger paws as she waded into the water,and she gripped the moss beneath the waves with her claws to keep herself steady against the fierce current. She stared out at the expanse of water,seeing logs and all other manner of debris swept up in the river.

[Wolvine]

Nightjaw walked along the river bank. He had been hunting alone, and was surprised to see Flarestorm. "Hey." He meowed softly.

[Naruto]

"Oh,hey,Nightjaw."Flarestorm meowed,looking back at him. "What are you doing out here?"

[Wolvine]

"Nothing. I was hunting. Guessing you are too?"

Muse still gone.

[Naruto]

"Yeah. Did you notice how high the river is compared to yesterday?"Flarestorm's voice held a note of concern. What if it got so big,that it reached RiverClan's camp?

[Wolvine]

"Hopefully the rain will stop soon. At least we can swim well." nightjaw looked down at the river worriedly.

[Naruto]

"I know."Flarestorm nodded. "And we can fish. So there's no worries there. But what about the other Clans? Will they get so hungry they'll steal prey?"

[Wolvine]

"I sure hope not. If Wolfclan starts eating our fish, there's nothing we can do about it. We have a chance of beating other catsbut wolves are out of the question."

[Naruto]

"I know."Flarestorm said simply.

[Wolvine]

"Right so, I guess I should get back to hunting." Nightjaw turned and sniffed. Prey other than fish was hard to get now.
