Lunarshine nudged her way into the elder's den,stopping cold when she saw Dustclaw and his mother here. "Dustclaw-"she cut herself off,seeing his mother's lifeless body beside him. Her eyes widened with shock,and she stuttered,"Oh no...Oh Dustclaw,I'm so sorry!" Memories of her own parents' deaths flashed before her eyes;Her mother's ginger pelt stained with blood as she viciously attacked the ThunderClan warrior,the strangled cry of pain as he retaliated and left her lifeless and limp on the blood-stained turf. Her father's wail of anguish at seeing his mate dead on the ground,and his determination to avenge her as long as he was alive,along with his dying scream as he died beneath a burning branch at the last Gathering. Her own pain seemed almost too much to bear;what must the dark gray warrior in front of her feel like now?
