Looking for a place to stay (Open to all but RAINPELT! No... just playin'. XD)

Clovernose walked through the forest. She looked around the trees, trying to find a good place to stay. After these new "Laws of Darkness" or whatever, she had to live out in the forest again, fending for herself along with her kits that were going to come at sometime, and her mate Church. It didn't feel right to her, she was a... clan-loner. A clan-loner, that's what it seemed to fit. That's what it felt like. She was in a clan, but, a loner too. She came to a clan to escape the life as a loner, but, somehow, she was back as she was before. A loner. She didn't like it, but she could do it, she'd done it before, she could do it again.

Clovernose had walked around the territory time after time, getting her bearings, memorizing it and all. She knew her way around the territory exactly and perfectly. Now.. she just needed a place to stay. She pricked her ears when she saw a burrow. It was a small one, and looked like it was a rabbit hole. All it needed was to be dug out, and then she, Church, and maybe Gizmo, could live there. She quickly padded over to it and stuck her nose in. The smell of a hare was fresh, very fresh, the animal must have still lived there. That was good, food that would come to her. She began to dig the hole out; some mud falling in it's dry interior.

Church loped along after Clovernose,his belly growling as he sniffed the rabbit hole. "Here,"he said,"I'll do that. I saw a patch of moss over there,and it looked fairly dry." His claws worked in the earth as he dug out his new,hopefully temporary home.

Clovernose backed away from the hole as Church came over. She nodded her head at him, it was good to have more than one cat working on something. She looked over for the moss and she found it. She bounded over to it and looked closely at it. It was... fairly dry, wet around the areas the plants over it couldn't protect. It was good enough for them to use. She unsheathed her claws and gently scrapped at the edges of the moss, making it come loose. She grabbed the edge in her teeth and pulled it off. She swiftly made her way back over to the hole with Church.

"So how big do we want it," she said through the moss in her teeth.

[Naruto]

"Big enough for at least four cats to fit in."Church decided,his claws feeling frayed and torn but he continued to dig. "Rainpelt seems to have found her own shelter,so it's you,me,and Gizmo until the kits come." By now he had scraped away a tail-length of mud and dirt.

Clovernose nodded, a place big enough for four cats would be best. Especially if she was getting bigger. She would be big enough to be two cats! She looked at the hole as Church made it bigger. It was almost big enough for a cat to get through.

"Make sure you don't make it too big and be careful to watch the edges so they don't fall," She warned him, "the cover might collapse or the rain and mud could seep in." He probably already knew that bit of information, but it was just in case.

[Naruto]

Church nodded,stopping for a moment to judge the width of the hole. His shoulders just barely squeezed through,so that was good. Now all he had to do was dig downwards. He started digging again,feeling mud catch in his claws.

IC: Rainpelt followed her possy friends. "So guys what are we doin'?"

"We are making a shelter."Church explained,his tail twitching.

"I see." she meowed looking down at the muddy paws, and the hole in the ground. "I was thinking... Well that we have to EARN our place in the camp. Maybe we could cause a little border fight. Prove what we can do. I was thinking ThunderClan...." she meowed with a devilish smile.

[Naruto]

Church paused. "Maybe we could,but what if we're caught?"he worried. "They wouldn't be happy to see their former Clanmates stealing their prey."

[~ Jetter ~]

"And? Who wouldn't expect that from DarkClan. It's kinda like our revenge on ThunderClan. I mean if you look at it my way. Come or don't come, but I'll be laughing when I have a soft, cozy nest to sleep in and you four are in a hole." Rainpelt meowed laying down waiting for the others thoughts on her wonderful idea!

Church grunted. "Well,we don't have to do it right away. DarkClan might consider us too soft if we go right ahead and start living with the Clan again so soon."

Clovernose shrugged at Rainpelt's comment. "I'm used to holes. And why ThunderClan? Why not.... WindClan or something? I hear DarlClan's already put an attack on them, so if we set them up again they'll get even weaker. Wouldn't that be best? Take out the weakest clan before they have time to recover. Besides, wih how weak they are now, they'd be desperate for anything, a border fight with them would be more believable. And.... to be honest.... I have no reason to get back at ThunderClan." She said all this through the moss in her teeth. "Anyways, shouldn't you be more concerned with finding a shelter than framing other clans right now? I don't think we'd be accepted the second we frame a clan, besides, freezing outside in the rain and mud at night and getting greencough doesn't seem the best way to get back in the clan, even if your immediately accepted after the whole charade." She grunted and continued watching Church as he worked on the whole.

[Naruto]

"Right,"Church agreed with his mate. By now,there was enough room for a couple of cats to fit in the den. "Almost done,"he panted,claws feeling tender from digging away at rocks and mud. He hissed as a sharp stone pierced his pad,but continued digging so that his small family would be safe. "Where's Gizz?"he said,calling his brother affectionately by his nick name.

"Are you okay, Church?" Clovernose asked him when he heard his hiss. It was probably nothing, but she was still concerned none the less. "Gizmo?" She repeated after him. She looked around before looking back down at Church. "I'm not sure, I think he's out walking around or something." That seemed like something he'd do.

[Naruto]

"I'm fine."Church assured her,stopping for a few moments to catch his breath. "Phew."he mewed,stepping back and lifting his paw to examine the pad where the stone had cut it. A small rock fragment was embedded in his pad,and he lowered his head to take it out,tugging sharply and gasping when a burst of pain followed the exit of the rock. "Ow,"he complained,licking his paw as blood flowed,bright red,onto his gray fur.

"Okay." Clovernose looked over at Church's bleeding pad after he took out the rock. She nodded as he licked it. "I can get something for that later." From what all her mother taught her she'd be able to help that heal, not that it was a bad injury. It would just be so it doesn't get infected.

[Naruto]

Church nodded,his eyes warm. "Alright,back to work."he grunted,going back to digging the hole. After a few moments,the hole was large enough for several cats to fit in it. "It's ready,"he called wearily,beckoning with his tail for them to go inside.

"It looks good!" Clovernose said to Church, complimenting him on his work. She squeezed herself in. Well, it was good a good size for them to get in easily. She crawled in as the the tunnel seemed to go a little farther back, or course, the area started to get tighter. "It's a little tight back here!" Clovernose yelled back before she dug through again. This time, it was easier to make the opening since they didn't have to be as careful there. Quickly, she got the job done she crawled forward again. There was and opening at the end and she stepped inside. It was large and hollow, well, not that large, just big enough for two cats to squeeze in, and not comfortably either. She slid in the area and pressed herself against the wall. In the back of the hollow inside of a nest were small, hairless.... hares! It seemed as if they were the leveret of the hare that lived there. Food already here at home?

"Hey, Church! Come look at this!" She called, her voice echoing through the hole.

[Naruto]

Church padded back into the hole,stopping beside Clovernose. "Sorry it's a little tight."he apologized. Then he noticed the small hares. "What the...?"

"It's alright," she mewed, putting her tail on his shoulder, "you couldn't dig this far back. Clovernose looked back down at the leveret on the ground. Weird it was for them to be in there, and by themselves. "Maybe the mom was already eaten by another cat since the children are so young," she concluded.

[Naruto]

"Maybe. Or she was out foraging."Church mewed,pressing himself closer to Clovernose. "I don't remember seeing a rabbit on the fresh-kill pile."

"Maybe one of the other cats got her while hunting?" it was possible. That hare could have died at any time. "So what do we do with these? Eat them now, save them for later, or wait for Gizmo and then eat them?"
