Her heart pounding,Foxkit's eyes snapped open. "Weird dream,"she muttered,getting up and stretching,her blue eyes bright. "Can I play?"she asked the other kits,her tail waving in the air.

"P-...P-P...P-lay." Slipkit's words echoed throughout the whole nursery. He had talked. He had communicated. He wasn't a mindless ball of fluff anymore, he was a walking, talking, tom. Happily, he repeated the word over and over and over again, bouncing up and down with a wild grin on his face.

"Can I play?"Foxkit asked again,hating the need to ask more than once. It was like no one had heard her. Another reason to want to be leader. I'll finally be acknowledged!

"AWWW!" Eaglekit meowed as Slipkit finally said something. She padded over to the other she-cat kit, Foxkit. Foxkit had always been strange, she was just different. "I am sure they would let you play." she meowed trying to cuff a kit.

"Really?"Foxkit asked hopefully. She'd never really fit in,so this was one of the nicer things the other kits said to her. Her ginger fur bristled with excitement.

Ravenkit grunted, then bounded over to the moss ball. He rolled it toward Slipkit, then shot it at Slippers with a quick jab of his paw.

Tansykit looked over at Foxkit. He wasn't actually paying attention to anyone at the time, so he didn't hear anyone. "Huh? Er... sure, Foxkit. You can play. Just get the moss and go for it." Tansykit smiled at her before he looked away again and over at Slipkit.

Beekit, who had stepped out walked back into the nursery. He had been distracted by this kit that was sitting outside. He looked different from the other cats, weird, starry. He almost looked see through too. He could see right through him! Only it had this weird brownish tent, like the color of his fur. It was so weird. When the cat had looked over at him he got a little scared and went back in here.

"Yeah, you can play, Foxkit," Beekit said cheerfully. He bounced up before speaking again. "In fact, just get a piece of moss and we could play our own game."

Foxkit purred happily. "Thanks!"she said,scooping up a piece of moss with her claws and tossing it towards Beekit.

Beekit jumped at the moss Foxkit threw towards him as it fell to the ground. "Hey, Tansykit!" He yelled over to the kit as he threw it towards him. Of course, Tansykit wasn't paying attention so when he turned around he was hit square in the face. He made a small yelp as it hit him and then sneezed.

"Err... sorry," Beekit said to him.
"That's alright, I wasn't paying attention," Tansykit answer as he picked up the moss. He threw it back towards Foxkit.

Foxkit leaped at the moss,squishing it to the ground with her claws. She hooked it with her claws and shot it back at Tansykit. "Catch!"she mewed,blue eyes shining with happiness and pride.

Tansykit caught the moss ball in the air this time. He laughed in his triumph. He laughed. He was having fun, a lot of fun. He tossed it back at her. Beekit waited for his turn to come, his excitement growing.

Beekit readied himself to catch himself. Suddenly, at the corner of his eye he saw that starry, see-through cat from before. Beekit yelped in his surprise and jumped up. The moss ball hit him in the face.

Tansykit looked over at him with his head tilted. "You mocking me?" He asked him. Beekit looked over at Tansykit, shaking a little.

"No, no." Beekit answered, his voice shaking a little. Tansykit gave him a questioning look. Can he not see this cat? He thought. He looked over at Foxkit. Could she see him?

Foxkit looked at Beekit,amusement glinting in her eyes. "C'mon,Beekit!"she squeaked,crouching so that her tail was high in the air. "What the heck are you staring at?" She batted at the air in front of her,not seeing whatever Beekit was staring at.

She didn't see him either!? Not at all!? This was crazy! How could they not see him! Where they blind? He looked over at the brown, starry kit. He was just sitting there, silent. Suddenly he turned his head and looked towards Beekit. The little kit got nervous at the other kit's calm, wise, knowing look. One you'd see an elder or a cat who knows more than you do. He quickly looked away from him and picked up the moss. His pelt prickled with nervousness. He threw the moss over to, Foxkit, trying to get back into his old groove.

"Got it!"Foxkit meowed,pouncing on the moss ball. She threw it at Tansykit,and fell over her own paws. "Darn it!"she spat,scrambling to her paws to hide her embarrassment.

Tansykit caught the moss ball in his small jaws. He blinked when Foxkit tripped. "Are you okay?" He asked through the moss before he started the game again.

Tansykit looked at her. She didn't seem to fine to him, but if she said she was then, who was he to say she wasn't? Tansykit threw the moss over to Beekit. This time the kit caught it. He was a little shakey, but he still caught it. He threw it back to Foxkit before he mewed again.

"You want to go outside?"

Beekit bounced up again, cheerful. Oh, how he loved bouncing. The young kit bounded out of the nursery. He was glad to be out. Hopefully that other cat wouldn't follow him. Tansykit followed after him out of the nursery.

Foxkit trotted out of the nursery,her ginger fur almost instantly soaked from the rain. "I hate this rain,"she complained,her tail twitching crossly.
