Out in the Forest

[Swiftfire the nz Pac-man]

Skyfern ran out into the forest, the sunlight dappling onto her pelt through the leaves. She laughed, "Come on, Fangheart!"

OOC: does Fangheart like Skyfern?

[Sneezewhisker]

ooc: Ya. Does she like him back?

Fangheart bounded after Skyfern. He had to admit, she was pretty. "Wait up!" He called as she got faster and faster.

OOC: yep! aw, they look cute together! =D

"Okay, slowpoke!" Skyfern called back. "Hey, I think I can smell a thrush!" she called, veering off to the left.

[Sneezewhisker]

OOC: I can read it, but i wouldn't do it if i were you... And can they only catch up to two pieces of prey in each post?

"Prepare to lose!" Skyfern replied. She raced off, following the thrush's scent. She found it and killed it quickly. She then covered it, just as she caught scent of a vole. Finding and killing it was even easier than with the thrush. She ran back to the thrush and put the vole next to it. She opened her mouth, looking for more scents.

[Sneezewhisker]

ooc: Huh? Are we still doing 5?

Fangheart scented a lot of voles in one place, and he pounced, just happening to be lucky and catch 3 of them. Then he scented a squirrel. He pin-pointed it's location, and pounced, catching it directly. He wondered how much Skyfern had caught.

OOC: yes, but I was saying we should only catch a max of two peices of prey per post. Oh well.

Skyfern scented some mice, so she followed the scent. She found a small hollow in the ground, big enough for a few mice to live in. She hooked in a paw and managed to snag her claws on the tail's of two mice. She dragged them out and killed them quickly. She paused instantly, smelling a squirrel directly above her. She chuckled and thuoght that Fangheart wouldn't have a chance. She made a quick leap and caught the squirrel. She carried her prey back to the clearing they separated in after a few trips. She settled down to wait.

[Sneezewhisker]

ooc: Nvm, I'll let you win the comp, because you're a girl.

Fangheart had also scented a mouse, but he was clumsy and missed. He thought, I need one more piece, then I'll win!

[Swiftfire the nz Pac-man]

OOC: Very funny. =l Just hurry up and get some prey already!!

Skyfern waited. And waited. I wonder if Fangheart is managing ok... she thought.

[Sneezewhisker]

ooc: But then I'll win! Oh well...

Fangheart raced through the undergrowth in pursuit of a rabbit.

ooc: Are there even rabbits in the forest? Anyway.

And when he was within pouncing distance, he took a chance and landed directly on top of the fast creature, killing it swiftly with a bite to the neck. Then he tried to recall the way back to the meeting place.

OOC: he should be able to follow the scent trail!

Skyfern saw a yarrow plant a few cat-lengths away. She padded over to it and picked it up gently. I better take this to [instert TC medicine cat's name here]. She might need it. I'll just wait for Fangheart... she thought, padding back to her small pile of prey.

[Sneezewhisker]

ooc: Have you got all the prey? Did you win?

Fangheart traced the trail back to the meeting place. When he saw Skyfern already standing there, he said, "How did you get back to fast?"

Skyfern smiled. "Because I'm a good hunter. I can't say the same for fighting though!"

[Sneezewhisker]

"Really? Let's find out!" He said, ready to take on Skyfern with his claws sheathed.

[Swiftfire the nz Pac-man]

Skyfern jumped to her feet. "You go first," she offered.

[Sneezewhisker]

"Are you sure, because when I get started, I don't stop until the fight is finished," He said truthfully.

[Swiftfire the nz Pac-man]

"Well, maybe we outta take the prey back first." she meowed, looking at their piles of prey.

[Sneezewhisker]

"Sure. Then do you wanna fight?" He asked with a glint in his eye.

[Swiftfire the nz Pac-man]

"Definately!" she replied, a gleam in her eyes.

[Sneezewhisker]

"Do you want me to go first, or you?" He asked slyly.

[Swiftfire the nz Pac-man]

"You choose!" she said playfully.

[Sneezewhisker]

"Le'ts see how well you can do!" He said, pouncing at Skyfern.

Skyfern barrel rolled to the side. She then got to her paws. "Am I too fast for you?" she asked cheekily, a gleam in her eyes.

[Sneezewhisker]

ooc: Your avvie is HUGE!!!

Fangheart laughed and turned slowly. "You wish!" He said. "Try again!"

Skyfern ran at his left, then feinted and jumped toward over his other side and propelled off a tree. She used this momentum to spin round and hopefully land on Fangheart's back, claws seathed.
