Sleepless.

[DOCTA OCTAGONAPUS]

Brightpaw turned over for the seventh time in her nest, opening her eyes. Keeping them closed hadn't helped her go to sleep. She guessed she wasn't tired because FERRETFLIGHT NEVER TOOK HER OUT TO TRAIN.
So she was stuck in camp all day.
Doing nothing.

[Wolvine]

Deerpaw bounded over to Brightpaw, exited about going to the gathering. "Heya Brightpaw? Wheres ya boyfriend?"

Ferretflight had come to check up on her apprentice and her young friends. She hadn't seen much of Brightpaw lately and was wondering if the young she-cat would want to come out to train.
She softly entered the den, her long tail wreathing around her paws as she sat inside the entrance. She saw the two apprentices, "Hello Deerpaw, Brightpaw." she greeted, her soft gaze calmly falling on to each of them in turn. "What have you been up to?"

[DOCTA OCTAGONAPUS]

She cuffed Deerpaw over the ears. "How should I know? He's never around."
Brightpaw looked up at Ferretflight, paw still on Deerpaw's head. "I've been not shleeping," she mewed, removing her paw from his/her ear. "And apparently wondering where Mudpaw is." she stuck her tongue out a Deerpaw.

[Goldenstorm]

Ferretflight let out a mrrow of laughter. "You should try to keep your mind off chasing toms and worry about your apprentice duties." Her tail wavered in the air as she rose it.

[Mosspaw]

"It's not so bad to be chasing toms if they're amazing like me, is it?" Mudpaw said, jumping into the conversation, "So what's going on with everyone? I'm really bored..." He still hadn't been trained, so he really needed to do something.

"Pfft..I have no clue what she sees in you." Deerpaw sneered, her whiskers twitching in amusement. "You're ugly and not so bright. Still, thats toms for you."

[DOCTA OCTAGONAPUS]

"Thank you, Deerpaw!" she meant it. "I mean, really. Toms aren't as fantastic as they think they are." she narrowed her eyes. "And who says I ((WTF IS A CHALUPA?!)) had any feelings for him?" she turned to Ferretflight.
"I don't chase toms, thank you vurry much." she stuck out her tongue, getting to her paws. She wanted to leave this convo now. It was making her feel...weird. Creeped out. How did Deerpaw and Ferretflight even conclude that she had feelings for Mudpaw, anyway? Ugh. Whatever.
"Can we go training, Ferretflight?" she asked.

[Wolvine]

Deerpaw smiled and turned to look at Mudpaw. "Rejected!" She cried, laughing.

[Mosspaw]

"Okay, goodbye everyone, I'm off to go and be bored and stuff" Mudpaw meowed, completely ignoring Deerpaw's comment, he walked off towards the camp entrance and left, he had to cure his boredom somehow.

Ferretflight chuckled a bit. "Of course, Deerpaw and I will meet you when you get Mudpaw. Though I don't think it be hard for him to follow you." she teased playfully. She rose to paws, sweeping her long tail back and forth. "Come on Deerpaw, we'll be in the woods."

[DOCTA OCTAGONAPUS]

She glared at her paws through her good eye as they left, mortified. "Uggghhh." she left soon after them, bounding into the forest. "Mudpaw, come back. We're going training or something."

[Mosspaw]

"What if I don't want to?" Mudpaw asked, just trying to get on Brightpaw's nerves. He knew how much she wanted to train, and that she was pretending to be all that today. He slowed down, but he just kept walking, knowing that she would be really mad, she just needed to lighten up.

"Then we'll feed you to foxes." she replied, catching up to him and cuffing his ear.

[Mosspaw]

"Well someone needs to--"

*ear cuffed*

"Hey!!" Mudpaw meowed, cuffing Brightpaw's ear, "Did you know that I don't enjoy that?" He pelted into the woods, acting all offended by this. He dove into a bush, and ducked low, then lied flat when he reached somewhere in the center.

[DOCTA OCTAGONAPUS]

"I'm not running after you this time." she called. Turning, she flicked her tail. "I'll see you later, after my warrior training session," she teased, trotting in the direction Deerpaw and Ferretflight had gone.

Mudpaw left his cover, stepping into the clearing. He scented the air, and scented some prey, not moments ago, he must have scared it off when he went into the bush. He crept along the scent path, and when he found it, it was a mouse. "Okay, remember that scent, Mudpaw, if Brightpaw is going to be getting her training, you will too." He thought to himself, creeping up on it. Unlike other cats, Mudpaw did not pounce on his prey, he could outrun it. He charged at it, and flew through the air, landing on the mouses back. Mudpaw decided that he would catch more, so he buried the prey and went on, creeping forward more. He slammed a paw into the ground, and immediately he heard prey rustling in two bushes to his left, and a bird flying away. He charged into the underbrush, and there were two rabbits running in opposite directions. He decided to try to get both, so he ran after the one that went left, and tried to herd it towards the other rabbit. This plan succeeded, and he immediately soared through the air, but only getting a faceful of dirt. He looked around, and he couldn't scent where the rabbits had gone. He backtracked, finding the trail again, and this time, his foot sunk into the ground. Mudpaw let out a yowl of alarm. He scrabbled out, and looked down. The rabbits had shot into a hole, that obviously was pretty deep, but not large enough for a cat to squeeze in and catch anything. He climbed up a nearby tree and sat in a low branch, waiting for the rabbits to come back out.

ooc: ....how can he catch rabbits without being trained in the art of? :p

How is he going to get trained by catching prey he already knows how to catch?

anyway... I'm not deleting that post, it took forever to think all that up. He stomps to scare prey, then he goes and tries to get it...

This is his foiwst solo catch i think... It has to happen some time
