Preparing for War(Open)

Dark shadows drooped over Spirit's Lake, the resulting of the moon's waning. It was dead silent save for the slight patter of rain on the forests below. "They should be here by now." The grumpy mew sounded from a starlit corner, a pale pelt shining in the gloom.

"Be patient. They might be having trouble accepting their fate,"a softer voice chided. One by one several cats entered the sacred clearing, fresh battle wounds covering their pelts. The pale pelted she-cat growled again. "There shouldn't be infighting right now! They could die up here!"

"Windstorm, I know this bothers you but we have to be patient. This is one of our only chances. Either StarClan dies or NightClan dies. They cannot except that when they are so young." A dark tabby purred.

Windstorm growled again and looked to the pool. "Maybe we should not have given kits these powers... There is only one full-warrior among them."she hissed. Petalclaw, a slim gray she-cat, rested her tail on the elderly cat's shoulder. "We have lost many warriors in the past moon. They will help us greatly,"she said encouragingly. "We can only wait."
